Situated in the hotbed of basketball, New York City, Brooklyn is the fourth largest municipality in the country. ¬†As such, our members’ officiating chores, though officially¬†designated to the basketball season, never really end.

With its wealth of leagues and tournaments, Brooklyn offers novice and experienced officials year-round officiating opportunities.

The Educational Committee of the Brooklyn Board is pleased to announce that its "Phase II" Pre-Season Training & Development session, will be conducted on November 11th, 12th & 13th at South Shore High School. Brooklyn Board Officials with three (3) or less years of officiating experience are Expected to attend. All Board #37 Members in satisfactory standing with the I.A.A.B.O. are invited to participate.

The Phase II Training & Development session will be structured toward scheduled full game exposure. Participating Officials will have a confirmed scheduled court time and will only be required to attend during their confirmed game times. This will allow the Clinicians to focus on individual specifics and address individual concerns in a detailed manner.
The focus of the "Phase II" session will again address Boys 2 & 3 Person Mechanics. Officials will be critiqued on both 2 & 3 Person Games. The staff will also conduct a 3 Person Mechanic's Clinic, in South Shore High School's Auxiliary Gymnasium on: Saturday, November 12th at 10:00 AM for all participating Officials.
